Wingecarribee Drawing Prize

2018 will see the re-launch of the Supporters of a Southern Highlands Regional Gallery (Sofa SHRG) which is a not-for-profit group which since 1994 has sought to lobby for a Regional Gallery in the Southern Highlands. Sofa SHRG in collaboration with the Bowral & District Art Society (BDAS) will be holding the inaugural Wingecarribee Drawing Prize from1 8 - 27 May 2018 at the Bowral Art Gallery.

For more information regarding the work of Sofa SHRG or if you wish to become a member- Email Sara Farmer (Public Officer) sarafarmer00@gmail.com or phone 0415935871 The Wingecarribee Drawing Prize exhibition will open at the Bowral Art Gallery, 1 Short Street Bowral on Friday 18 May from 10am with the official opening at 6:30pm and will run daily form 10am to 4pm until 27 May.

1st Place - Non Aquisitive $2000 prize. Donated by SOFA SHRG) Peoples Choice Award Prize $500 (Donated by Black Swan Books of Dirty Jane's) Entries may be of any subject in any drawing medium on paper or canvas excluding digital prints of drawings.

Drawing media could include paint or mixed media but the ‘drawing’ would be considered to be predominantly line work and must be the original signed work of the artist, not previously shown with this Society and completed within the past 12 months. There is a limit of two works per artist.
