An initiative of the City of Salisbury, the Watershed Art Prize encourages awareness of water as a precious resource and significant environmental management issue.

The City of Salisbury is continually striving to promote sustainable energy saving practices and is actively implementing Australia's first totally integrated water management plan to efficiently harvest and manage systems for rainwater, stormwater, ground water, recycled waste water and potable water.

In the City of Salisbury a series of more than 50 constructed wetlands provides flood retention and a natural way of filtering storm water before it reaches the ocean, or is stored in underground aquifers for later recovery.

South Australian artists have the opportunity to submit  a creative submission that best represents what SUSTAINABILITY means to you. Use any medium, such as paint, sculpture, photography, sustainable new inventions etc.
