The Victorian Indigenous Art Awards (VIAA) support and acknowledge indigenous artists in Victoria. the program aims to foster economic and commercial opportunities for indigenous artists and encourage the production and exhibition of diverse, high quality art.

All categories are open to two and three dimensional works (unless otherwise stated) in any style or medium, including new media and multimedia. Entrants can submit up to three artworks.

The prize is open to all indigenous artists living in Victoria.

  • Deadly Art Award - $30,000
  • Australian Catholic University Acquisitive Award (work based on sprituality and cultural tradition) - $5,000
  • Federation University Australia Acquisitive Award (regional based artist) - $5,000
  • Creative Victoria People's Choice Award
