The Australian Museum holds an annual Invertebrate Photographic Competition called Up Close and Spineless to raise awareness of the wonderful world of invertebrates and to raise awareness of the world of invertebrates. The winning, highly commended and runner-up entries are then displayed in an exhibition. Find out about how to enter this year's Up Close and Spineless competition, including the closing date for entries, how the photos are judged and what prizes can be won.

Winners of the first three categories can win a digital camera. Winners of the Professional category will win $600 to spend on photographic supplies.

Fees: Entry for students in 2010 is $10 and for non-students and professionals it is $15.
