The $5000 Tasmanian Art Award is an art competition and exhibition held each year at Eskleigh Home near Perth, Tasmania. Public exposure of artists' works and rewards for excellence are made possible using Eskleigh's facilities along with substantial sponsorship from the Tasmanian business community. The awards on offer are:
- $6000 prize for the winning entry which then becomes the property of Eskleigh and is added to the Eskleigh Collection.
- $1500 prize for excellence in watercolour.
- $1500 prize for sculpture.
- 2 x $1500 prize as the Judges' Commendation Prize.
- A $500 prize for the most popular entry as voted by visitors to the exhibition.
The Tasmanian Art Award is also intended to facilitate the public's exposure to the artists' work and to reward artists' efforts with cash prizes and awards for excellence.
