The Tammin Art Prize has been running since 1986 and is usually held on the last weekend of October each year.

Artists from all over Western Australia are invited to enter their work with a unique section dedicated to local and past residents. Other features of the Art Show include Photography, sculpture, painting, an Art/Craft exhibition as well as a Primary School art and photography section which is always very well received.

Tammin is located 184km east of Perth on the Great Eastern Highway. The Shire of Tammin covers an area of 1,087 km² and is bounded by the Shires of Kellerberrin, Quairading, Cunderdin and Wyalkatchem. Tammin was first settled in 1893 by John Packham with the arrival of more settlers in the 1900's.
