Established in 1984, the National Campus Art Prize (previously National Tertiary Art Prize) is the premier tertiary art competition in Australia.

NCAP is open to any student at a participating AACA campus with or without an art background. The Art Prize attempts to draw out talents which may remain largely hidden otherwise and focuses on participation rather than elitism, so why not have a go

The National Campus Art Prize is open to all artists currently enrolled at an Australian Tertiary Institution holding current AACA membership. Artists may enter a maximum of 3 attachments per entry.

Prizes are $250 cash in each of the following four categories:

  • 2D (must not exceed 1m square): Painting / Works on Paper / Printmaking 2D (must not exceed 1m square):
  • Photography / Photomedia / Electronic Art 3D (must not exceed 85cm cubed):
  • Sculpture / Installation -
  • Peoples Choice - voted by the people visiting the exhibition.

Judging: The entries will be judged on creativity and originality. The decision of the judges shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into regarding the decision.

Venue: Canberra Institute of Technology’s Reid Campus.
