The competition is open to all residents, employees and visitors to the City of Maroondah.
The photographic competition is for all ages and divided into sections for over 18s, 13-17 yrs olds and those under 12 yrs old.
Anything about the Maroondah community that is important to you. It could be a place, person, pastime, your neighbourhood or street, a community, sporting or social event, even a community group activity, almost anything!
You can enter two photos, and they must be A4 in size. Entries must have been taken within the City of Maroondah and recently, since last July. Make sure you provide a caption for your photo and be sure to get permission if taking photos of other people.
Prizes
Open section – open to everyone aged 18 years and over as at 1 July 2015
1st prize: $450 gift voucher from Croydon Camera House which includes an SLR class.
2nd prize: $100 gift voucher for Hoyts Cinemas
Intermediate section – for those aged 13 to 17 years as at 1 July 2015
1st prize: $200 gift voucher from Croydon Camera House.
2nd prize: 2 x 10 session swim Aquahub passes.
Junior section – for those aged 12 years or under as at 1 July 2015 The junior section is especially good for primary school students.
1st prize: $100 gift voucher from Croydon Camera House.
2nd prize: 3 x Aquahub family swim passes.
Category 2 - My favourite Maroondah building
1st prize: A canvas print, 20" x 30" value $130.
2nd prize: 2015 Karralyka Theatre Season double pass for a show of your choice.
Mayor’s Encouragement Award - chosen from all entries
Prize: Eastland shopping voucher to the value of $200 This award is presented by the Mayor at the awards ceremony.
