Harden Art Prize

Artwork painting depicting a landscape, original work of the artist, executed entirely in the 12 months prior to entry closing date, not exhibited previously in any other art prize or award

The Harden-Murrumburrah Landscape Painting Prize is an initiative of the board of the Harden-Murrumburrah Bendigo Community Bank.

The competition is intended to promote Harden-Murrumburrah to the arts community of Australia and to encourage visitors to the towns to view the exhibition of work by the finalists. The exhibition aims to boost the economy of the twin towns, by benefitting tourism, hospitality, accommodation and other service sectors.

Part of the organiser’s plan is to promote cultural awareness in the district, grow a quality art collection over coming years and contribute to the expansion and development of the arts scene in Australia. Entries must be paintings that are available for acquisition in exchange for the prize money offered to the winner.
