The Georges Mora Foundation Fellowship is open to any Australian citizen or permanent resident who has a demonstrated art practice. The successful Fellow will have shown a continuous commitment to the field of contemporary art. Artists at all stages of their careers may apply. There is no age limit.

The announcement of the award of the Fellowship will take place in June 2014.

For the financial year of 2014-15 the Georges Mora Foundation Fellow will receive a cash grant of $10,000.

The Georges Mora Foundation Fellow will be offered priority consideration for a residency at Centre Intermondes, La Rochelle. Based in the French Atlantic historical port city, three hours south west of Paris by TGV, Centre Intermonde’s raison d’être is local, regional and international exchange, with the aim of facilitating contemporary creativity in all forms of artistic expression, and thus to build bridges between cultures to the mutual enrichment of all.

The Georges Mora Foundation Fellow can choose to annex their Fellowship with a six month full or part time secure desk at the State Library of Victoria. This option provides the Fellow with uninterrupted time to work with the rich resources of the Library to explore new thinking and research new ideas. This benefit includes access to a shared private study within the Library, which can be used outside normal opening hours. If the winner is based outside of Victoria then the Foundation is open to working with the Fellow in arranging an alternative residency like the SLV within the applicant's state.
