This prize is now held biennially - next due in 2015.

The Inglis Equine Art Prize, for art depicting thoroughbred racehorses.

The subject theme for 2012 will be All things thoroughbred. The entrant may depict a scene from (but not limited to) races, training, sales, equestrian and recreation. The artwork must include at least one thoroughbred horse and the horse/horses name and breeding along with name of venue be available on request from the IEAP for authenticity purposes.

This competition is open to any artist from any country.
 

Prizes

  • 1st Prize - $15,000

Fees in 2013
There is an entry fee of $35 for each artwork and there is a commission on sales of 35%.

Winners are announced on the 8th August 2013.

The judges in 2013 are:

  • Mr Alister Simpson
  • Mr Frank Giacco
  • Mr Arthur Inglis
