The Art Prize calls upon new and established artists worldwide to submit one painting of a landscape that inspires a sense of place. There are no limitations to scale as submissions and judging of paintings are to take place online. Finalist’s work will similarly be showcased in an online exhibition with the option of selling your work online.

2017: Paintings and landscapes are the set medium and theme for 2017. Australian and international artists are invited to sumit one painting of a landscape that has most inspired you.

The Prize encourages entry in all mediums of art including new technologies. This includes, but is not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, 3D modeling, animation, digital imaging, film, video, interactive media, motion graphics, photography, light and sound.

The residency includes full board and lodgings in a stunning homestead surrounded by exquisite gardens, and an invaluable mentorship program for artists to experiment with and define their bodies of work. An expert in Curating, Arts Marketing, Gallery Directing and French language, NG Art’s Nicky Ginsberg will offer ongoing leadership throughout the six weeks.

Prize

The Chippendale World Art Residency winners will share equally a $10,000 residency grant to further their art practice.

Venue: NG Art Gallery, NG Art Pop-Up & Annex, Central Park Display Pavilion and other locations within the Chippendale precinct
