The Charlatan Ink Art Prize will be held biennially in New York from 2011 onwards, but in an innovative twist will be traveling every other yeararound the globe. Possible venues for 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 are in chronological order Brisbane/Australia; Graz/Austria; Cracow/Poland and Shanghai/China.
The prize is open to all artists practicing VISUAL ART : painters (in any medium & stylistic expression from classical paintingto collages to illustrations to graffiti to drawing to print); photographers (film/digital); sculptors (3D works/jewellery); film-makers (video/film-camera/animationfilm); conceptual artists (working in all mediums mentioned above); crafts (from pottery to weaving to carpet-looming).
The Charlatan Ink Art Prize theme for 2011 is: Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?
1st Prize - US$25,000
2nd Prize - US$1,000 and a 6 week artist residency at the Carlton Arms Hotel, New York and a Canon G11 Camera
3rd Prize - twelve months exposure on the Charlatan Ink website
Fees and Charges: a US$50 fee is paid for each work entered with a maximum of two works each competition.

As a general policy we are not profiting by your individual activities or choices on our site. The only information we collect from you is your email address. Your username and password are provided by you and are used when logging in to our site. We do not have access to your password, which is encrypted. You are responsible for your password.

3rd party plugins, such as the google maps api which we use also sets cookies. In total there are currently 20 cookies that are set when you use our site.
The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to enquiries and/or other requests or questions. It is specifically used to send you your username/password when you forget your user credentials.

We do not process an individual's data. We do aggregate user data whilst keeping it anonymous.
