The event was inspired by Brighton Surf Life Saving members after experiencing sculptures at Cottesloe Beach WA, the latter event modelled on the famous Bondi Sculptures by the Sea.
Our vision is to continue to hold a major arts event concluding with the successful annual 7 Brighton Jetty Classic Swim. The combination of both arts and sport is a unique and successful community event.
Sculptures large and small for outdoor and indoor display will be made from multi media compositions i.e. wood, wire, glass, metals, stone, clay, plastics, cement etc.
Prizes
$40 first entry from artists 26+ years old, $30 first entry from Junior artists 15 to 26 years old, second and third entries are $25 per entry for all entrants. There is a commission of 30% for sales during the exhibition.
Winners are announced on Wednesday 23rd January 2013.
