The Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards are a platform for the development and promotion of professional photography. Competitive peer judgement drives excellence and creative experimentation. Additionally, broad media attention and publicity, an extended exhibition program and a magnificent book of winning images, celebrates the achievement of Australia's professional photographers and promotes the endeavour of professional photography in Australia.

- The AIPP Australian Commercial Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2500 cash
- The AIPP Australian Sport Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2500 product.
- The AIPP Australian Travel Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500
- The AIPP Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2500 cash.
- The AIPP Australian Science, Environment & Nature Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
- The AIPP Australian Documentary Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy, $2500 product.
- The AIPP Australian Illustrative Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
- The AIPP Australian Fine Art Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
- The AIPP Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
- The AIPP Australian Family Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
- The AIPP Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year - prize is a trophy and $2,500.
