Previously (1990-2006) it was known as the Conrad Jupiters Art Prize.

The Stan and Maureen Duke Gold Coast Art Prize is an acquisitive art award and exhibition for Contemporary Australian Art open to all forms of art media except photography. Photographic based artists are encouraged to enter our annual Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award.

The Prize is managed by Gold Coast City Art Gallery and it originated as the Gold Coast Art Prize in 1968.

Prizes

$35,000 Total prize and acquisitions consisting of -

  • $10,000 Prize winner (non acquisitive)
  • Up to $20,000 in acquisitions
  • $5,000 for the People's Choice award

Judge

In 2011 the judge is Davida Allen, artist.


Fees in 2011: $30 to enter per artist (3 works).


Winners announced on 10th December 2011.
