Open to all Indigenous artists residing on Noongar Country.

The exhibition invites senior artists, emerging artists and community groups to submit works on a chosen theme, to celebrate the talent and diversity of local Indigenous artists and their stories.

Noongar Country offers artists the opportunity to extend their practice by interpreting a theme, exhibit their artwork for sale, and share in BRAG’s goal of promoting high quality Indigenous art to a contemporary audience. Noongar Country 2017 theme Six Seasons invites artists to explore the Noongar Six Season; Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang.

Noongar Country stretches from as far as Geraldton, across the country to Southern Cross and down as south as Esperance.

“For Our Elders”, is the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Observance Committee theme for NAIDOC Week 2023 (2-9 July). BRAG has chosen to embrace this theme for our 2023 Noongar Country exhibition.

Venue:  Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, 64 Wittenoom Street, Bunbury, Bunbury, WA
