This is a biennial prize next scheduled for 2025

The Heysen Sculpture Biennial is open to all artists. All types, forms and sizes of sculpture, in all materials are eligible for entry to HSB with regard to the safety requirements. Proposals for very large to small sculptures are welcome as are ephemeral works.

Artists are invited to respond to the theme of Political Climate.

Prizes

  • One artist may be selected for a solo exhibition at the Hahndorf Academy during the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
  • The People's Choice Award of $1000 is voted by visitors.
  • All exhibiting artists receive a small stipend.

Venue: The Heysen Sculpture Biennial is held at The Cedars, outside Hahndorf, South Australia. The Cedars is the site of the former home and studio of Sir Hans Heysen, one of Australia's most famous landscape painters.
