The Eumundi Sculpture Prize is a national contemporary public art sculpture award, led by the Foundation for Culture and Arts Eumundi .
2015 will see the second annual sculpture prize installed. The Eumundi Foundation will lead an annual iteration with a winning public artwork being installed on public land each year, and pending all Public Art processes, the winning work will be acquired into the Sunshine Coast Public Art Collection. The Eumundi Foundation has attracted naming rights sponsorship of $20000 from Experience Eumundi - Eumundi Combined Community Organisation and support from Sunshine Coast Council through the Cultural Development category of the Community Grants program in 2014 of $5000 for the installation of the artwork. Council also collaborated recently to lead a professional development process for local public artists aiming to enter the competition..
Finalists: Eight finalists receive $150 to defray costs of creating and transporting maquettes if appropriate. The winning entry attracts a contribution of up to $500 including GST to defray transportation costs.
