Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize

The APLAP will be calling in Winter 2024. Exact dates yet to be confirmed.

Biennial prize - calling on even years.

The Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize is an opportunity to convey the many faces of the Adelaide Park Lands and their value in our urban setting. Adelaide is the only city in the world to be surrounded by Park Lands; a design heritage that requires recognition and conservation. Add the wonder, beauty and necessity of green spaces in an urban setting and their constant threat from developers and Park Lands can be compellingly inspirational for artists. Add your voice through art and enter the 2023 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize. Artists can make a difference.

The Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize is a non-acquisitive art prize open to all artists of any age, working in any 2 or 3-dimensional media – with the aim to make a statement or capture the essence of the Park Lands in the artist’s chosen medium. Entry forms and Conditions are found at www.parklandsart.com. Finalists will be selected from submitted digital images and exhibited in the Adelaide Festival Centre Foyer Gallery from the 24 March 2023.

The winners will be announced at an opening event on 24th March 2023.  All artworks will be for sale. The prize is an initiative of the Adelaide Park Lands Preservation Association (APPA) and has financial support from the Adelaide Park Lands Authority and the City of Adelaide. APPA intends the prize to be a key part of its program to stimulate public awareness of and interest in the Adelaide Park Lands.

The theme for the 2023 is to inspire - to capture the essence of one or more elements of the Adelaide Parklands as an inspiration for the artwork.
