This prize is held biennially - next due in 2013.

The CPM National Print Awards  began in a disusedgarage near a pigsty on the outskirts of Murwillumbah. The grouprecently revised their mission statement, with CPM now being defined as“an artists’ cooperative creating and sharing the free flow of imagination".This ethos also colours the Print Awards, where CPM is not content tosimply stage a competitive ‘prize’, but wishes to continue to challengethe boundaries of the print. The CPM National Print Awards has always encouraged innovative and experimental printmaking through its different prize categories.

This year (2013) four of the printworks will be acquired for the *Tweed River Art Gallery’s fast growing collection of fine Australian Prints. Two new awards have been introduced this year The CPM Director’s Choice Award of $1,000 and is acquisitive and the $500 CPM Members prize has also been re-introduced and is non-acquisitive.
