The annual Liverpool Art Society exhibition and art prize inspires a diverse range of artists and artworks. In support of this outstanding commitment by our local artistic community, we are pleased to continue supporting the prestigious $1500 Casula Powerhouse Scholarship Prize and the $5000 acquisitive Liverpool City Council Overall Winner Prize. The Scholarship aims to develop an artist’s professional practice through further research and the creation of a new body of work to exhibit in the following annual Liverpool Art Society exhibition.
All entrants must be financial members of Liverpool Art Society Inc. at the close of registration. All entrants, except those entering the Youth categories, must be 18 years of age and over at the close of registration. Entrants to the Casula Powerhouse Scholarship Prize or the Liverpool City Council Overall Winner Prize must have 12 months continuous membership at the close of registration.
Prizes
- Casual Powershouse Scholarship Prize - $1,500. An artwork from any Adult category. The winner will be awarded the prize money and a solo show in the 2018 Marsden Gallery exhibition program. See clause 14-18 in the Terms and Conditions for more information.
- Liverpool City Council Overall Winner Prize* - $5,000 acquisitive. Any artwork from any Adult category.
- CPAC $1000 20th Anniversary Prize Any artwork from any Adult category.
- Technical Excellence for Traditional Style Painting - $500. A realistic portrayal of any subject to be chosen from any Adult painting category
- Multiple prizes for categories - refer to website for more details..
