This is a biennial event. Due to be held in 2026. Call will go out in late 2025.

The Albury Art Gallery has established itself as a centre for excellence and innovation in photography. A biennial event since 1983, the National Photographic Prize provides artists with an avenue to exhibit their work and the opportunity to enter into an ever-growing collection of contemporary Australian photography.

 

The winner of the National Photography Prize 2020 will be commissioned by Photo Australia to present new work at the PHOTO 2022 International Festival of Photography.

 

There is an artist fee of $1,000 for all exhibition finalists.

  • Acquisitive prize - $30,000

  • John & Margaret Baker Memorial Fellowship - $5,000
