The Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Brett Whiteley Studio are delighted to accept applications for the 2021 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship.

The 2023 scholarship has seen an increase in its cash prizes and will consist of one recipient receiving $50,000 and three-month residency at the Cité as well as five recipients each receiving $10,000 and a two-week residency at Kangaroo Valley in the Southern Highlands, NSW. The Shark Island Kangaroo Valley residency will be administered by the Shark Island Institute, in consultation with the Brett Whiteley Studio and the Art Gallery of NSW.
