2024 Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize

Advancing Art and Opportunity

The Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize is an annual acquisitive prize that was launched in 2017 to advance art and opportunity for emerging and established women artists in Australia. It is the highest value professional artist prize for women in Australia.

There are three prize categories – the Professional Artist Prize of $35,000, the Emerging Artist Prize of $5,000 and the Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize of $5,000.

There is also a People’s Choice Award of $2,000 plus an art pack valued at $500.

Artists are asked to enter an artwork that best reflects their art practice - there is no theme.

Artwork judging is overseen by Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize Patron and acclaimed artist, Jade Oakley – Ravenswood Alumni – renowned for creating artworks that connect communities to their environment. Join us as we celebrate the finest women's talent in Australia.

Join us at the Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize Opening Night as we celebrate the talent of Australia's finest women artists. Immerse yourself in the artworks of all our finalists, be part of the excitement as we announce our winners, meet our judges and some of the talented artists, and be the first to purchase artworks which go on sale following the announcement of winners.  

Your ticket price includes exhibition entry, hot and cold canapés, and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening. Guests will also be invited to submit their vote for the Peoples' Choice Award.  

Exhibition of Finalists

Following the Opening Night the Exhibition will be open from 11 to 26 May 2024.
